Summer Fun

The local rec center (Lynnwood Rec Center) has been closed for the past ten months or so, but recently re-opened with an amazing aquatic center. Because it has been so busy we have been hesitant to go but last week we discovered that our beloved Gymboree closed their doors, so we needed a new Tuesday night activity.

So. Off to the pool we went tonight to give it a whirl. We are trying to get Jackson all set with the pool experience in preparation for our big trip to the Caribbean this December, so this is a good test. With life/swimming vest on, and cars swimming trunks he was set.

Needless to say it was a success. Jackson loves the water! We will be returning and might have to purchase the swim pass so we can keep heading over there. He wasn't bothered by the rough housing by the older kids, and when he got his face dunked in the water he shook it off like a pro.

Next time he has informed us that he needs to try out his Dora the Explorer kick board.
Lots of fun to be had.
